about us

Dopamine Lab was born from the desire to create a place where the most important thing is the joy of doing, colors and a good feeling. The studio was built from the dream of providing a space where it is easy to come – to be inspired, experiment and enjoy creativity without pressure to perform.

Greetings from the owner

I'm Jenna, the founder of Dopamine Lab and a passionate ceramic enthusiast. My journey with clay began as a child, and over the years my love for making things with my hands and aesthetics has only grown stronger. I wanted to create a place where everyone can be inspired, experiment and enjoy creativity without the pressure to perform – and that's how Dopamine Lab was born.

From Töölö with love,

My hobby of ceramics started in childhood

My background in ceramics dates back to the 90s, when I started attending the Jyväskylä School of Fine Arts. There, I tried everything I could do with my hands – from ceramics and canal net sculptures to felting. Although the materials varied, I already realized that ceramics was the thing. My first clay works, such as the quirky photo frames, can still be found in the display case of my childhood home – it’s funny to realize that I loved practical ceramic creations even then.

DOPAMINE LAB

Aesthetics, atmosphere and love for beautiful things

I'm an aesthete - I enjoy beautiful things and details, whether it's interior design, cooking or nature. I love painting, mushroom picking in the fall and hosting dinner parties for friends who have their own cupboard for party dishes (of course!). The little moments in life make it special, and maybe that's why I sometimes romanticize everyday life a little too much.

When I founded Dopamine Lab, I had a clear vision: a place where I would like to make ceramics. I wanted to create a space that is not just a workshop, but an inspiring and atmospheric environment. I am an atmosphere person and I love the dopamine decor interior design philosophy, where colors, light and details create a good mood. The studio definitely had to have lots of flowers, relaxed background music and a warm atmosphere – a space that is always lovely to step into.

creativity

Continuous development and the joy of success

I wanted to create a place where you can be inspired alone or in a group, without stress or pressure to perform. Everyone finds their own way of doing things – some immerse themselves completely in their own creativity, while others enjoy working together and discussing things. Both are equally valuable!

Ceramics is a hobby where you can develop all the time. I wanted Dopamine Lab to offer opportunities to learn and grow, whether you are a beginner or an experienced maker. Clay is a teaching material – it doesn’t always obey, but that’s where its charm lies. Our studio is a safe place where we celebrate both successes and failures. The most important thing is the feeling, the joy of making and the release of creativity.

Nothing beats the feeling of placing the first flowers of spring in a vase you made yourself, while sipping your morning coffee from your own handmade cup. It's those little moments that make everyday life more beautiful. It would be wonderful if you could come and experience this with us!
