Join the world of ceramics
You can participate in all courses without any prior experience. However, we recommend taking a course if you're becoming a member, so you can get a good introduction to clay and tools with guidance – especially if ceramics is new to you. Members also have the opportunity to join group workshops, where they can receive teaching and tips, so you won't be left on your own.
There are limited spaces available in the studio, as we want to ensure everyone has enough space to work peacefully. You can find more details about prices and dates in our course shop – and while you're there, you can sign up for courses or grab a membership!
Our ceramic workshops are generally conducted in Finnish, but we are happy to provide instruction in English at all of our workshops.
courses & memberships
With us, you can choose from a wide range of ceramics courses – and we’re constantly coming up with new ideas based on the season and your requests!

nerikomi
Nerikomi is a traditional Japanese ceramic technique where different types of clay are combined to create beautiful, minimalist pieces.
Nerikomi is a great way to explore your creativity while getting to know ceramics and developing your technique and design skills. During the workshop, you’re free to choose what you’d like to make — whether it’s a bowl, a serving dish, or something completely different. You name it!
You can create beautiful marble, striped, or checkerboard patterns — or come up with your very own design!
You’ll have light, red, and grey clay available to work with. (The red clay turns a deep, dark brown when glazed.)
This technique is also suitable for complete beginners.

During the workshop, you’ll create your own pieces using hand-building techniques, with the freedom to use your imagination as well as the molds, tools, and guidance provided by our studio.
In this workshop, you can make whatever feels meaningful to you — whether it’s your own unique dishes, sculptures, or something completely different! First, you’ll shape your pieces, after which you can decorate them using colored clay slips.
The workshop includes all necessary materials, guidance, slip colors, and finishing work, including firing and glazing.

wine & clay
At our Wine & Clay evenings, you’ll get to try your hand at ceramics in a relaxed and fun atmosphere!
During the evening, you’ll learn hand-building techniques and have complete creative freedom to make whatever you like. This can be your very first time working with clay, or you can already have some experience — no previous skills are required!
You’ll start by shaping your own pieces, and then you can decorate them with colored clay slips if you wish. You can make dishes, cups, serving plates, sculptures, or whatever you come up with — it’s completely up to you.
New technique workshop: Sgraffito! In this workshop, you’ll not only shape your pieces but also learn how to create patterns and designs by carving into the surface after painting.
A relaxed atmosphere, some wine, and good company — what more could you need? 🩷
P.S. You’re more than welcome to join even without the wine!
